the guild crest and lore
The Five Founders who established the guild each represented one of these branches, pooling their expertise to create a unified force and to protect the town during the first Elder Dragon crisis. The guild’s crest shows all five symbols interwoven to represent their harmony and each representing one branch, encircling a central icon (like a flower or star) to symbolize unity. Hunters often specialize in one branch but collaborate with others, creating a balance of skills and resources.
the five branches
hunters
While the hunters focuses on combat, they uphold the guild’s core belief in hunting responsibly. Hunters are trained to avoid unnecessary slaughter and poaching. Also only take on quests that maintain the balance of nature.
research
This branch is studying/research monsters. Not only that, they also study the delicate balance of ecosystems and how humans and monsters coexist. The populations of monsters in each region are recorded, and hunters are not allowed to repeatedly hunt the same species unless otherwise stated. Their role is crucial in ensuring the guild operates sustainably.
forge
The Forgekeepers honor nature by using monster materials sparingly and efficiently, ensuring no part of a hunted creature goes to waste.
Forgekeepers are responsible for designing equipment that minimizes unnecessary hunting. They support conservation efforts by recycling old or damaged equipment.
merchants
Handles the procurement and distribution of items like potions, traps, ammunition, and food supplies. They also manage trade routes and monster part sales.
exploration
A branch dedicated to mapping new territories, establishing outposts, and scouting dangerous regions. Ensure safe routes for hunters and merchants while keeping tabs on monster migrations.
